Why do you price in Euros?  There are two reasons for this:  1) As a German tour operator we can only invoice you in Euro (€) and we must receive payment in Euro (€). However, if you pay by credit card your holiday price will be converted into your currency by your credit card company, which determines the exchange rate applicable (note that we must receive a credit card number to secure and confirm reservations).  2) We can price our holidays and calculate a fair profit based on this independent of fluctuations in currency value.  This is above all a BENEFIT TO OUR CLIENTS – you can compare better, and you know that you are not paying more than a fictional exchange rate that may or may not be valid at the time of your travel. 

What does the holiday price include? Unless otherwise stated, our standard walking and winter holiday prices are fully inclusive of quality accommodation, a hearty breakfast in the morning, your tour pack - exactly as described on this site (incl. walk descriptions and a proper map), Value Added Tax, and if applicable local tourist taxes. 

For a cost-effective way to enjoy your holiday you can opt to stay on a half board basis, where you can look forward to a pre-paid dinner in your hotel each evening.  Half board holidays are also an ideal option for groups or families with children.  Note that requests for half board accommodation must be made at the time of booking.

The holiday price is based on two people sharing a double room and a supplement is quoted for single rooms.  For detailed information on the individual services included in the cost of your chosen holiday please consult the pricing information on the relevant page on this website.

What is NOT included in the holiday price? For complete flexibility, flights, car hire or Channel crossing, travel insurance, drinks (except at breakfast), lunches and evening meals are not included in the price of our standard walking and winter holiday packages.  However, at an extra cost you can opt to stay on a half board basis, which means breakfast plus evening meal at your accommodation is included in the price you pay. Extra activities (e.g. sports equipment hire, entrance fees), cable car tickets and, if available, the use of the hotel’s sauna or pool have also not been priced into the trips. 

What’s your single supplement policy?  Our pricing is based on two people sharing a room.  If one person occupies a room on their own then the whole cost of that room falls on that person, thus the extra charge for a single room.  Most often the cost is less than the charge for two people in a room to account for the fact that only one breakfast is taken.  Note that nearly all hotels have specific rooms they allocate as ‘single’ and payment of the supplement does not automatically allow for the single occupancy of a twin or double room!  The single supplement guarantees the privacy of your own room, however, rooms can at times be small and occasionally may not enjoy the same facilities as double rooms.  We do not know which room you will be given, as your hotel will usually decide this shortly before you arrive. 

Are there any other (local) charges?  Some hotels charge for the use of their facilities.  Examples are leisure facilities, Internet access and car parking.  If applicable you need to pay the hotel directly for extras not covered in our holiday price, such as phone calls, laundry, drinks or dining.
