All holidays on this website are single-centre based. This simply means you stay in the same accommodation for the duration of your 7-night holiday.

Your accommodation is something we take very seriously, and we feel that our Traditional Country Inns and Hotels deliver the best value, experience and hospitality. For our walking and winter holidays we have chosen Traditional Country Inns and Hotels that are full of local character and very comfortable; they have been personally inspected by us and we have stayed in nearly all of them ourselves.  Your accommodation will generally be situated in a prime location, often within easy walking distance of the village.

As a rule, we use Traditional Country Inns and Hotels that are of quality 3-star rating or equivalent, which indicates good overall facilities, comfort and well-equipped bedrooms. All rooms are ensuite (private bathroom). Information on your accommodation, including the precise location as well as services and facilities that are unique to your Traditional Country Inn or Hotel will be listed in your tour pack.

For our city breaks we have chosen hotels (3-star or higher) in central locations to ensure that driving times are kept to a minimum.  After a heavy day’s sightseeing or shopping, it’s great to know you haven’t got far to go to relax or get ready for a night out.

For families with children under 12, we recommend our Family Holidays, where we have specifically chosen hotels with extra family-friendly facilities. They are usually set in scenic countryside with large grounds and plenty of exciting and fun things to do in the vicinity.
