For each destination featured on TouchingNature.co.uk we've had great fun researching and building a dedicated online walking and travel guide, revisiting some of our favourite places and meeting old friends. The result is a wealth of information and images of hand-picked walking regions, walking areas and a growing choice of wonderful places for walkers to stay. 

TouchingNature.co.uk is a unique travel platform that connects accommodation owners and specialist walking tour operators in the most scenic, inspiring and unspoilt corners of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Northern Italy, with English-speaking consumers in the UK, Ireland and worldwide.     

The owner of TouchingNature.co.uk, Magdalena Seifert, set up the business in 2005. Her simple but effective philosophy is to offer information on walking and great accommodation in the countries she knows and loves – aimed specifically at the English-speaking market.  

Having lived, worked and studied in Ireland and the UK for over 13 years, and been involved in the activity travel, marketing, hospitality, and tourism industry for over 20 years, Magdalena brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to TouchingNature.co.uk. She has managed to convert what is, essentially, a personal passion, into a small but well-run business. She is a seasoned traveller and a qualified Mountain Leader. Over the years she has organised and led numerous walking trips for groups throughout Ireland, Great Britain and the Alps. Her personal walking experience spans much of Europe, as well as Africa and North America.
